Data security and privacy is a top priority for us.

All Empoche data is send and received encrypted (SSL) to our servers and also stored on encrypted hard disks.

Privacy is a key focus in all our products and services, we are implementing and following the GDPR (European data and privacy regulations) strictly. We store your data encrypted only in the european union.

I get a Windows / macOS Security warning when installing Empoche

All Empoche binaries and installers are signed and for macOS also notarized. Still for new Empoche releases Windows Smartscreen might warn you that this is an unknown application, as it requires a certain number of installations before this message stops. Empoche is 100% malware, adware and virus free and secure to use.

Where is my data stored?

We store data only on european servers (Falkenstein, Aachen and Nuremberg in Germany), which are encrypted and the access is limited.

What data do you store?

As little as possible, but for Empoche to operate we need to store certain information. For more details check the Privacy Policy.

Who has access to my data?

Your personal data is not shared with any third parties or made publicly available, except you explicitly agreed with it or it is required for a feature you are using (Like teams). When you create a project or task in Empoche they are private by default. For more details check the Privacy Policy.

Is SSL always used for transport?

Yes, we don't use any non-https connections. All data transfered to and from Empoche is encrypted with 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL).

Is Empoche available all the time?

How are passwords for services and user accounts stored?

Passwords are cryptographically hashed and salted. If you use social logins, passwords are not stored at all.

How do I report a vulnerability?
